First Visit by Japanese High School All Stars to Malaysia

Regional All Star Team from Kyoto High School Baseball Federation received enthusiastic welcome by officials and players of Malaysia during their two day visit to Kuala Lumpur pm December 22 and 23, 2011.
14 Malaysian players joined the program including: Mohad Sharizad Mohd Shadi, Lee Keat Seng, Muhd Halim Maarif, Mohd Al Facre Yaakob, Muhammad Zaquiyuddin Ayab, Nurul Hasnol Mat Hussain, Muhammad Nuruddin Mohd Zaki, Abdul Halim Mohad Nor, Mohammad Hasdzril Zamuri, Umaru Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Anwar Armad, and Justin Ham Kok Keang.
The tour was designed as a part of school education and the 18 players of 16 and 17 years old were selected from the Kyoto Regional Federation’s member high schools based on not only their baseball skills but by writing a report as to how high they value the relationship with Asian neighbors.
Most of the first day was spent for joint training sessions and learning basics of the sport. On the second day, a practice match was held by mixed teams of the two countries. Baseball Federation of Malaysia and National Sports Council of Malaysia hosted a welcome dinner at Kelab Golf Club on December 23. (picture)
