16 Teams Advanced to 2nd Round at Kyocera Dome Osaka
Reigning Champion JX-Eneos lost to Panasonic

JX-Eneos, the Champion of two previous National Championship and the winner if this year’s Inter-city Championship, lost to Panasonic 0-1 ending a winning streak of 15games.

The 39th National Championship of Japan Amateur Baseball Association (JABA) co-hosted by The Mainichi and Osaka City, participated by 32 regional winners, opened at Kyocera Dome Osaka on October 28 for 11 days.
