Ordinary Congress and Executive Comittee Meeting of BFA
Meeting held in Seoul, Korea on November 4th, 2011

Seoul, Korea - The Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) held its third meeting of the executive committee and Ordinary Congress on Nov. 4, 2011

During the meeting, BFA President Kang Seung-Kyoo (KOR) and Secretary General Mr. Sang-Hyun Lee (KOR), explained the various activities of BFA over the 2010 - 2011 period. A main feature of the meeting was Olympic Reinstatement, with Asia's regional governing body supporting the efforts of the world governing body (IBAF) in all aspects of the Olympic push. They ensured that BFA is involved in the process of achieving the final goal of Olympic Reinstatement.

Mr. Riccardo Fraccari, President of IBAF joined the meetings in Korea. He emphasized the importance of Asian Baseball and asked BFA and its members to play an active role within the international baseball community.

The financial report pertaining to the details of the 2010 & 2011 budget was also unanimously approved by the membership.

Also discussed were various agenda such including
Ӣ Amendment to BFA Constitution/ Tournament Rules and Regulations
ӢApproval of new member Federation(Nepal, Afghanistan and Vietnam)
ӢRatification of new Executive Committee members

With this approval of new members, the number of BFA members increased from 22 to 25 (including 1 provisional member- Vietnam).

And, President Kang presented 2011 BFA Presidential Awards to Mr. Hector C. Navasero(Philippines), Mr.Khawar Shah(Pakistan), Mr. Laurence Lee(Hong Kong), Mr. Tom C. H. Peng(Chinese Taipei), Mr. Toshikazu Sakakibara(Japan) for their life-time contribution to Asian Baseball respectively.
