Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagoya wins 44th National Championship of Japan Amateur Baseball Association (JABA)


The final game of the 44th National Championship of Japan Amateur Baseball Association (JABA) co-hosted by The Mainichi and Osaka City, and participated by 32 teams at Kyocera Dome Osaka on November 12, 2018 saw winning of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagoya of Aichi Prefecture for the first time in their 65 years of the Club’s history. Mitsubishi blocked JFE West Japan attempt to claim the title for the second time , 2 – 1 in the 13th inning.
Pitcher Masanobu KATSUNO TAKAHASHI (Mitsubishi) awarded MVP, Pitcher Tatsuo KONO (JFE West) received Fighting Spirit Award, and the Leading Hitter was Takuya KOYANAGI (Mitsubishi) at .429.
