Norms released for XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship
Tournament to be played with 12 Teams from August 30 to September 8 in Seoul, Korea

The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) released the official competitions technical/organizational norms for the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship. The tournament will be played from August 30 to September 8, 2012 in Seoul, Korea.
The norms include all regulations concerning the event in regards of rosters, anti-doping, competition administration, technical aspects, obligations by the local organizing committee and the playing format. They can be downloaded as PDF files in English and Spanish from the www.ibaf.org.
The XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul will feature the teams from USA, Korea, Japan, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Venezuela, Australia, Colombia, Panama, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Italy.
In the first phase teams in Group A and B will play five games each in a round-robin format. The top three from each pool advance to the second round (also round robin) with three games for each team. The top two will play in the Gold Medal Game.
